Courageous Young Women of

St. James (CYW)

Courageous Young Women (CYW) is a group for 5th – 9th grade girls that helps them learn more about their faith, make friends in their parish, and participate in & give to their community through service projects.

This year we will work through a Catholic Bible Study for teens entitled “Courageous Virtue for teens” by Stacy Mitch with Emily Stimpson. We will study the virtues of wisdom, justice, courage, self-control, faith, hope, & love.

Our Bible Studies include art journaling time, and our monthly gatherings will alternate between Bible Studies and community service projects. Community service projects will include assisting the Pregnancy Support Group in Woodland, working on a project for the Shawl Ministry, and preparing & serving dinner at Cesar Chavez Plaza.

If your 5th - 9th grade daughter is looking to meet friends her age at St. James, explore her faith, and impact our community, join Courageous Young Women of St. James!
